To see it in pictures is one thing but to see Her in person is a whole other level of experience! She is positively radiant! In my travels through Vietnam I have seen other Kwan Yin statues of this size, but nothing even close to the quality of carving of this sculpture. When I laid eyes on her I just felt love. Shipping & Installation: The thought of shipping this sculpture to your home or temple is a daunting one. Let me explain it to take away the questions you may have when looking at this sculpture. She will be packed in a wooden crate laying down. The base of the crate will be the thick, fortified wood that can handle her weight. Then a skeleton crate will be built around her. There is no need to make a closed crate as she will be contained in a container by herself.
She will be loaded into an Open Top container. These containers have doors that open on the top of them so that a crane can easily unload the Kwan Yin from the container. She will be shipped directly from Vietnam to the closest port to you home or temple. Then trucked to your location. You will have to rent a crane to unload and place her. When the statue arrives the crane operator crew can open the top of the container to give the crane easy access to the statue to lift her out of the container and then place her in her new home. This tall statue of Kwan Yin is holding a vase of nectar which she is pouring out. The vase represents wisdom quenching the thirst of ignorance. The nectar also represents the relieving of suffering since nectar is the food of hungry ghosts. Her other hand is in the abhaya mudra, the gesture of discussion and debate which indicates communication and the explanation of the Dharma. The tip of the thumb and index finger touch, this being the gesture of great compassion.

About Kwan Yin: Kwan Yin (also spelled Kuan Yin or Quan Yin), is known as the Goddess of Compassion, and she is one of the most popular deities in all of Asia. Her name in Chinese roughly translates to "The One who Hears the Cries of the World". Many believe that she is the female representation of Avalokitesvara, who is the Tibetan and Nepalese God of Compassion. Use a cotton cloth and gently buff the surface of the statue to bring out the natural polish of the stone.

White, red and black marble statues are easy to take care of as they just need some annual upkeep to keep them looking as they did when they were first carved. Here are some easy tips to keep your White, red and black marble statues from Lotus Sculpture looking like the gods they are:

Dust the statue as needed to prevent dirt build up
To make the statue shine use a cotton cloth to buff the sculpture
You can use a small amount of natural oil such as coconut oil or olive oil to further polish the sculpture
Use a tooth brush to get into the hard to reach spaces of the sculpture
DO NOT TOUCH the painted surfaces of any of the white marble statues. This will damage the painting if done often

White marble statues that are unpainted can be placed outdoors. We recommend keeping our smaller red and black marble statues as well as any painted marble statues in an indoor environment. The red and black marble statues have some delicate pieces that could chip if left outisde. The paint from the white marble statues will not last for more than 4 years if left outside so use discretion when placing your statues outdoors.

This sculpture is in our workshop in Vietnam and will be shipped to our warehouse in Oceanside, California or directly to the custom depending on the where in the US the sculpture is being delivered. Lotus Sculpture pays for the shipping and import costs to Oceanside, CA. This process takes approximately 80 days. The client then pays for shipping from Oceanside, CA or the closest port to the final destination. Shipping is calculated after the purchase. If you place your order online shipping will be $0.
