The sculpture captures the Hindu god of Preservation seated with 10 arms holding variety of objects. He is seated on a double lotus base using a lotus paddy as a rest for his right foot. The statue has a beautiful antique green, verde-gris patina. A very unique and unusual Vishnu sculpture!

Brass statues from Bali, Indonesia do not need much maintenance. The best way to maintain the statue is to simply dust the piece periodically to keep any dirt from accumulating. Bali brass is meant only to be used indoors.
You can use a natural oil, like coconut oil or olive oil and a cotton cloth to periodically wipe down the statue to remove any dust or dirt buildup.
If you are really interested in making the statue shine you can use some natural oil, like coconut oil or olive oil, and a cotton rag to wipe down the metal portions of the piece. You can use a toothbrush as well to get into the small crevices of the statue like the hands and hair. This will not remove any of the natural patina on the statue.
