  • Wow! Perfection in bronze! A South Indian masterpiece! He is massive yet he carries himself with a joyous levity of a feather
  • Ganesh has 6 arms that hold his broken tusk that he used to write the Mahabharata epic, an ax, an elephant goad, a fly whisk, a noose and a Ganesha's favorite sweet; a laddu. Curled in his trunk is a water vessel. His vehicle the rat is cast separately and is included with Ganesh
  • Ganesha is a hand made, one of a kind, bronze sculpture cast by one of the best, if not the best, bronze artists in South India, Varadaraj, using the lost wax process, a skill passed on for generations since the Chola period

Ganesh is larger than life! His massive frame expresses the abundance of love Ganesh has for the world. Ganesh has energy emanating from him in His radiant dancing posture and because of the actual large size of the statue. It is impossible to be in the same room without ones eyes immediately settling on Ganesh. The large size of the statue has also allowed the artists to work on all the details of his weapons and ornaments. The tollvalasi, ornaments worn on Ganesh's upper arms, are beautiful! The carvings are magnificent and fully detailed. The same diamond shape design is carved onto the ornament on his large belly. He wears a double cobra belt. Each cobra's hood is fully exposed and ready to strike. The hands and toes are chubby and lifelike. They look as if they will just come alive with Ganesh dancing. The rat can be moved around the the statue or separate from the statue. The base has two holes in it for poles to be put through them. During festival days poles are inserted and Ganesh is picked up and carried through the town for all to experience darsana or "sight" of the God.
Ganesh has 6 arms that hold his broken tusk that he used to write the Mahabharata epic, an ax, an elephant goad, a fly whisk, a noose and a Ganesha's favorite sweet; a laddu.  Curled in his trunk is a water vessel.  Ganesha is a South Indian bronze masterpiece!
I always say to our customers; The sculpture chooses you, you do not choose the sculpture.
You just know when you find the right piece to bring into your home and into your heart.

"In heaven Lord Ganesh will establish the predominance of gods, on earth that of people, in the nether world that of serpents and anti-gods"
~A Hymn from Sri Bhagavat-Tathva~

The chubby, gentle, wise, elephant-headed Ganesh, or Ganesha, is one of Hinduisms most popular deities. He is the remover of obstacles, the deity whom worshippers first acknowledge when they visit a temple. He is also patron of letters and of learning; he is the legendary scribe who, using his broken tusk, which he often holds, wrote down parts of the Mahabharata epic. Ganesh is usually depicted colored red; he is pot bellied, has one tusk broken, and has four arms that may hold a pasam, a goad, and a pot of rice or sweetmeats. The sweet meats are held in a type of bowl known as a laddus. His appetite for these sweets is legendary and offerings of them are often left at his shrine.

Statues of Ganesh can be found in most Indian towns. His image is placed where new houses are to be built; he is honored at the start of a journey or business venture, and poets traditionally invoke him at the start of a book.

A pasam is a triple twine weapon. Each of the three twines represents, arrogance and conceit, Maya - the illusory nature of the real world, ignorance. In Hindu ideology weapons are a viewed as symbolic tools to destroy the ego rather than to cause any type of bloodshed. Goads (or elephant prods) are typically used to direct elephants. Goads are symbolic of how one should steer the soul away from the ignorance and illusions of this earthly world just as a mahout would steer an elephant away from any treacherous path.

If you require a little extra service, (within reason) a tip to a delivery man usually works wonders!
For placing the statue our customers have either placed the statue themselves with help of a friend and a tool like a hand truck or a dolly. Or by contacting their landscaper who is used to moving large and heavy objects like rocks and trees into place. For much larger and heavier sculptures sometimes the customer needs a piece of heavy equipment for placing the statue like a crane or forklift.
