The focus of any Buddha sculpture is the serene expression on the face of the Buddha. Just by looking at the Buddha's face you catch a glimpse of what lies at the heart of Buddhist teachings. His right hand is raised in the abhaya mudra which is known as the "fear not" hand position with his hand open. The Buddha has a slight smile. There is a halo behind his head that perfectly frames his face.
The Buddha is wearing long gossamer robes outline his entire body and ripple like waves as they trace their way down his contours. The long lean body of the Buddha would be perfect for placing him in a wall niche. The Buddha is carved from strong white marble giving the sculpture the versatility to be placed outdoors.

White Marble is extremely strong and perfect for the outdoors in any weather. You can use soap, warm water and a cotton cloth to periodically go over the statue to remove any dust or dirt buildup.
Soap and warm water is the best way to maintain the statue. You can use a small brush to get into the small crevices of the statue like the hands and hair. Do not use any oils to clean the statue as this may be absorbed by the stone and discolor the applied area.
White marble's durability makes it perfect for cold winters and hot summers in any climate. The stone can stand up to the harshest conditions of heat and bitter cold. We suggest you bathe the sculpture at least once a year so that dirt does not collect on the sculpture. This will maintain the sculpture for your grandchildren and then their grandchildren!
